You've finally passed all of the tests and have your license. Now how will you decide what company to join?  There are many things to consider when evaluating what each company has to offer. It seems that the hardest part of  the interview process is that you don't know what questions to ask. I have created a checklist of questions that you can print out for future reference.

You must keep in mind when talking to potential employing brokers that it's not all about "The Split" or the commission agreement. You need to look at the whole picture. What training do they Offer? What supplies do they provide? What are my monthly expenses going to be? What is the publics perception of the company? Do you see there signs frequently in your area? Remember if it sounds to good to be true...well you know the rest. Remember also when interviewing that you are interviewing them. That's right ,many companies will hire most anyone within reason. Yet there are many companies that are choosey in the new agents they bring on board. This is the kind of company you should consider if you are serious about your new career. The reason for the difference is that many companies charge monthly fees and really do not care if you ever make a sale since they make money regardless. On the other hand there is the company that only is profitable if you are. This is the company that will give you the tools, support and environment to succeed. Think about it for a moment, they have an investment in you and you will have made an investment in yourself as well.

Here are a few key indicators for you to keep in mind when interviewing:
1.) What was your first impression of the office ,and how where you greeted?
2.) Did the manager offer to have you talk with some of the current agents in the office?
3.) Is the office located in an area that is convenient for you and the area you will be working?
4.) Will there be a manager or broker available when you need them?
5.) Did you feel comfortable with the manager or broker you met with?
